I’ve always hated the saloon! I remember once in class 3 completely refusing to have my hair blowdried and impulsively deciding to cut it all! Being kids, the boys in my class had a field day making fun of my cut. I did not care the least, if anything, I was happied that way. It seems unfair and illogical that women have to ‘pay a price to be beautiful’. I eventually grew my hair till i cut it again 2 years ago.
Here are some of my hairstyles since I started documenting my hair journey 2 years ago.
Cutting hair is a BIG deal! I was referred to Tony Airo by my cousin Koinz, and he’s dealt with my hair since. The most amazing thing about Tony was how he always makes you feel at ease, by the time your going to him for the next cut/shaping you’re able to completely relax and let him do his thing! Take a look at his work here.
This has got to be one of my fave cuts ever!
Tony has even created a range of products for african hair.
Since my hair is short, I dont use a lot of products. I use this Siri gel and occasionally use Olive oil leave in conditioner, Shea butter and a curl activating conditioner
