Sequins & FAFA!

Happy, happy Friday…

I’ve got a lot to look forward to this weekend!

This is a really comfy look that I wore around school. Remember these uber cool Kikoy shoes I got from Bata Kenyaย  that I wore here?

The sequins thing is trending, but do not overdo it. It isn’t Christmas yet!

Tomorrow is FAFA and for some strange reason, I thought it was next week. I’ve been rushing to come up with a unique outfit, and this time, I will really go out of my comfort zone.

This will be the 4th edition of the event, and my very first time attending. FAFA was set-up in 2008 during the post-election violence which took place in Kenya.FAFA aims to change perceptions of other communities one mind at a time by exploring and bridging cultures through fashion, art and music.

Fashion for Peace was born from the belief that positive change can come when we stop focusing on the negative and encourage the positive and the inspiring, working together as different cultures in a spirit of harmony.

Follow FAFA here for behind the scenes footage and a little peek of what to expect. My highlight? The FAFA finale will revolve around our Sports Heroes who have excelled on the world stage including the Olympic games in London earlier this year.

Janet Wanja, volleyball player. Don’t we just love her hair?

Too excited!!! Have a happy , happy Friday! I know I will!
